icy chunks and curtains

Posted by
Roger Rempel (Winnipeg, Canada) on 9 April 2018 in Business & Industry.

since spring is a tad late this year... and cabin fever may set in, it was time for a stroll in front of the 7 sisters hydro-electric dam in late spring. this scene reveals a vast array of icy chunks and curtains. these are quite blinding in the bright sun, and many of these ice chunks are the size of small cars. the ice brings very interesting detail in cross section. the icy curtains are a few storeys tall.
